Open a book from Books. Use the chapter sidebar to switch chapters, then edit directly in the manuscript area.
The toolbar supports headings, bold, italic, underline, strikeout, lists, block quotes, code, and tables where the book format supports them. Changes save automatically. Keep the page open until the save indicator confirms the latest change.
When available, select text in one paragraph to open Inline AI options. Inline AI currently works on a single paragraph rather than tables, lists, or multi-block selections.
For a chapter-by-chapter book, the current review chapter is editable. Use the continuation controls to generate the next chapter or the rest of the book. Earlier generated chapters remain available while writing continues.
Use the chapter or section action menu to regenerate supported content. Regeneration can replace the selected generated text, so copy anything you want to retain first.
