Format the book
Open the book editor and select the settings control for book formatting. Choose a saved formatting profile or adjust the book's typography, spacing, page structure, and front or back matter. You can save book settings as a new profile for reuse.
Open Formatting under Settings to manage reusable fiction and nonfiction profiles. The built-in default remains available when no custom profile is selected.
Formatting affects generated export files. It does not remove your editable manuscript.
Export
Return to Books, open the book's three-dot menu, and choose:
- DOCX for continued editing in a word processor.
- EPUB for fiction and nonfiction ebook distribution.
- PDF for a fixed-layout copy of fiction, nonfiction, or supported digital products.
If a download fails, refresh the library and try again. Confirm that the book has finished generating and that any recent editor changes have saved.
Cover inclusion follows the book's structure and your Defaults → Export covers settings. Use Download cover when you need the cover as a separate file.
