Generate a brief
Open Briefs, select New brief, and choose an existing idea or No idea (standalone brief). Then set:
- Product type and genre or digital product type.
- Book length or product size.
- Up to five custom knowledge bases, when relevant.
- Optional Additional instructions under Advanced options.
Select Generate brief. Longer book lengths and some product types require an eligible plan.
Refine the result
The brief editor contains the book title, author or creator, premise or product goal, target audience, themes, structure details, chapter or page plan, writing options, and cover style.
Most text fields save when you leave the field. Wait for the status at the top to show Saved before closing the page.
You can reorder and edit chapters, add or remove chapters when the selected format allows it, and regenerate the brief with optional feedback. Regenerating replaces the current generated plan, so review the result before generating the book.
After a brief is linked to a generated book, it becomes read-only. Use Duplicate brief when you want an editable starting point for another book.
